Job Responsibilities:
- Administer database objects;
- Assist developers, users and DBA's with database related issues;
- Provide for database backup, recovery & DR;
- Research & resolve database system problems and issues;
- Coordinate physical data storage needs with the storage manager;
- Provide 24x7 support.
Job Requirements:
-
- Associates degree;
- Three years of DB2 UDB on AIX, DBA experience;
- Two years of z/OS experience;
- Strong technical analysis & problem solving skills;
- Proficient with database & SQL performance tuning;
- Strong understanding of database structures, etc.
A Bachelors degree in CIS/MIS or other IT related studies and knowledge of DB2 PM, DBArtisan, Quest, DBA tools - preferred.
Candidates must have strong written and verbal skills. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
